Coherent to Launch
NEW Ultrafast Amplifier and Oscillator

At Photonics West this past January, we set new standards for both passive and active stability together with ultra-short (<35 fs) pulses at high pulse energy (>3mJ) with the launch of our Legend Elite.

At CLEO (May 6^th – 11^th 2007, Baltimore, Maryland, USA, www.cleoconference.org), we set these standards even higher. The new Legend Elite Duo™ from Coherent, Inc. is an integrated ultrafast amplifier that delivers pulse energies over 6 mJ at a 1 kHz repetition rate. With a pulse width capability of less than 40 fs and M2 <1.5, the output from the Legend Elite Duo can generate higher intensities than other integrated amplifiers.

Also we showcased the extended range of our one-box Micra family with the first showing of the higher power Micra-10 ultra-short pulse oscillator and a new CEP accessory (see picture) for carrier-envelope phase stabilization.
